Updating account information

Keep contact, ownership, and tax details current with MShore

Accurate records protect your access to Online Banking and help payments clear without unnecessary holds. You should update postal and email addresses, phone numbers, beneficial ownership, and tax residency information as soon as they change.

Some updates can be started in the client portal; others require supporting documents reviewed by Support. Out-of-date information can delay wires, card renewals, or portal actions until verification is complete.

For trust structures, also see keeping trust account information up-to-date. For tax reporting changes, review FATCA and CRS.

  • Contact details: email and phone must be reachable for security alerts and one-time codes.
  • Address changes: may require recent proof of address before statements and correspondence are redirected.
  • Ownership changes: beneficial owners and authorised signatories must be re-documented promptly.
  • Tax residency changes: update self-certification so FATCA/CRS reporting remains accurate.
  • Name changes: usually need certified legal evidence before we reissue cards or amend payment profiles.
