Opening and funding accounts

How new MShore accounts are opened, verified, and funded

Opening an account with Maritime Shore International Bank starts with an application and due diligence. We collect identity documents, residency information, and clear source-of-funds evidence before an account can be activated.

Once your account is live, you can fund it using supported deposit methods or by arranging an incoming wire to the official account details we provide. Always use the beneficiary name and account number exactly as shown in Online Banking or your welcome pack.

Before you send a first deposit, review SWIFT / BIC and beneficiary details and international wire transfers so funds are not delayed or returned.

  • Application stage: identity, residency, beneficial ownership, and source-of-funds checks must be completed.
  • Activation stage: you receive official account details and Online Banking credentials when clearance is finished.
  • Funding stage: send deposits only to the details shown for your account—never to informal or third-party instructions.
  • Incoming wires may take additional compliance screening on first receipt or for larger amounts.
  • Same-currency funding is usually simpler than converting at the sending bank; confirm currency before you instruct.
  • Need help after funding? Check balances in Online Banking or contact Support with the sender reference.
