Keeping trust account information up-to-date
Report trustee, settlor, and beneficiary changes promptly
Trust accounts at MShore rely on accurate records of trustees, settlors, beneficiaries, protectors, and authorised signatories. Changes should be reported as soon as they occur, with supporting legal documents.
Outdated trust information can interrupt payments, Online Banking access, and card services until we complete verification. Use precise roles and names that match the trust deed and any deeds of appointment or retirement.
For definitions of common terms, see the trusts glossary. For general trust questions, see trust FAQs.
- Trustee changes: supply deeds of appointment/retirement and identification for incoming trustees.
- Beneficiary updates: provide the basis for the change and any required consents under the deed.
- Protector or enforcer changes: document authority clearly before we accept related instructions.
- Address and contact updates for trustees should match verified due diligence files.
- Payment mandates must be refreshed when signatories change.
