Payment delays and investigations

What to do when a wire is late, missing, or returned

If a payment from or to Maritime Shore International Bank is delayed, gather the transfer reference, value date, amount, currency, and beneficiary bank details before contacting Support. Investigations usually start with intermediary routing and compliance checks.

Many “missing” payments are still in transit, awaiting beneficiary bank posting, or held for clarification. Providing a complete pack on first contact shortens the trace.

Keep your payment receipt ready. For outbound setup issues, revisit SWIFT / BIC details.

  • Have the MShore bank reference and confirmation receipt before you call or write.
  • Ask the beneficiary to check with their bank using that reference.
  • Note any return reason codes or messages shown in Online Banking.
  • Investigations can incur correspondent fees depending on the corridor and outcome.
  • Do not send a duplicate payment until the first payment’s status is confirmed.
