How trust accounts work with Maritime Shore International Bank
Trust accounts follow enhanced documentation standards. Authorised signatories and trustees must be clearly identified before we can process instructions, open Online Banking users, or issue cards linked to the trust.
We bank the trust relationship according to the governing documents and our risk policies. Informal letters alone are rarely enough to change control or payment authority.
If you need role definitions, open the trusts glossary. To keep records current, see trust updates.
- The trust—not an individual beneficiary—is typically the account holder, subject to product terms.
- Only documented trustees or authorised agents may instruct the bank.
- Enhanced due diligence applies at onboarding and when material changes occur.
- Payments need a clear purpose consistent with the trust’s activity profile.
- Online Banking users must map to authorised individuals under the mandate.
